TIPS TO TAKE CARE OF HAIR EXTENSIONS

I've often come across a lot of people who usually ask me 'How to care for extensions'. Many think that it's a huge process and that a lot of effort is put in to take care of them. Some also feel that it is time-consuming and hence don’t opt for this option. But the truth is that hair extensions are generally extensions of hair being clipped onto your hair. Now while doing this, taking care of the extension is the same way you take care of your hair. It is very simple to take care of extensions. 1) Brush
It must be seen that extensions are brushed regularly. Just like your normal hair, extensions get tangled too. Hair extensions must be brushed with the right brush and all the knots and tangles must be removed. Gather all the hair together and brush them. The more careful you are while brushing, the longer it will last.

2) Washing
Just like your normal hair requires to be cleaned, extensions are supposed to be cleaned once a month. DO NOT wash it regularly. Probably after 2-5 times of usage, it can be mildly washed with shampoo and conditioner.

3) Drying Up
After they are washed, it should be gently towel dried and must be left hanging to dry. The idea is that it must be air dried at its own pace.

4) Avoid Heat
it is generally advisable to avoid heating products like curlers or straighteners. Additional heat will ruin the beauty of the product and can lead to damaging, quite quickly. This can be avoided as the long-term use of the extensions must always be thought before doing anything on it.

5) Storage
The last tip is the most important one. It is very important to store extensions in a safe and right manner. It is highly recommended to use an extension box to store the extensions. This prevents any extra damage that can be caused by the extensions. The better storage and care are given to the extensions, the longer and better use of it will be of.

Though these are plain and normal tips, if extensions are taken care of in this manner, the usage of the product will always be better. As they say, prevention is always better than cure. It is always better to take good care of these extensions than spending a lot more on trying to fix them.
